The aim of the ITEC Diploma in Indian Head Massage is to enable Learners to gain the necessary practical & theoretical skills to provide Indian Head Massage treatments to the general public and to gain employment in the Wellness & Spa Industry.

The Diploma in Indian Head Massage Course Structure is:

Made up of 1 practical workshop weekend:  

  • Weekend 1: Indian Head Massage techniques,
  • On-line learning includes Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology, Professional conduct and business awareness.

What is my commitment?

You need to allow time for approx.  750 hours which includes case studies and on-line learning. This is a blended learning course. 

The teaching weekend runs from Saturday to Sunday, 9am to 4.30pm.  Exams are typically held at the end of the year in November at the Nelson campus. 

Case study work and other assessment documents are done outside classroom hours.  The learning platform provided, includes videos and other tutorial support and assessments.  Class size is limited to no more than 8 students per class.

Who is this course designed for?

It was designed for:

1.  People who know nothing at all about Indian Head Massage.                                          2.  Practitioners who are already qualified in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Massage, Beauty therapy etc. who want to add another skill and recognized qualification to their practice.               

3.  Nurses, Doctors, Aged Care Support Staff, etc. Who are curious to know more about Indian Head Massage to assist with upskilling hours or to be curious about a new skill set.

4.  People interested in getting into the Spa and Wellness sector to practice in hotels, spas, cruise ships etc.
